Behind the Business

Hey! My name is Sara and I run Takes Me Back Soap. I started this business in 2022. My husband had skin issues so I researched body products that I could make to help him. The science, math, and art that goes into creating calls to my teacher heart. Working full time as a teacher in a public elementary school, I recognize the importance of flexibility and adjusting as you go. Why “Takes Me Back”?

Have you ever caught a whiff of something and you were immediately hit with a memory? Scent can TAKE YOU BACK to a time and place and those memories are vividly clear. Each small batch of soap had its own scent story.

Environmentally Responsible

All soap is wrapped in biodegradable paper with a paper ingredients label. When shipping, I reuse boxes and packaging material to reduce waste. Tallow is sourced locally from Just a Few Acres farm in Lindale, GA. It is rendered by me. Small batches reduce waste and ensure you receive the freshest product.
